Nero with Vista 64bit???

Never had a problem here with Nero 7 & Vista 64-bit. Just make sure you don't install the other crap that comes in the package.

I've only ever used the Nero burning ROM, Smartstart and the cover creator, so I'm not sure if the other features work. Not that anybody would want to use them :p
 
I used to like the old nero, but last few times i installed the new versions seem to take over the OS by installing crazy stuff lol. Very hard to remove it all too.

Just abandon nero for CDBurnerXP(works on vista too), much easier on the OS.

When you install nero, it gives you the option to de-select all the crap. The only thing I select is the burning rom.

I am also using nero 7 without any problems on vista x64, and have been for ages.
 
Yep, Nero 7 will work with Vista 64 but only from about build 7.10 and later from memory.

Mine's updated to 7.11 and works fine but as above there's a lot of crap that just isn't required.
 
if you only use the burning rom, it's pointless to install it

just give imgburn a try, it's more compatible than nero (with discs and drives) and produces better burns, and it's tiny

I dont mean the extra programs, i mean the servises and dll files it adds. Its like the nortan antivirus of CD burners lol, had to compleatly reinstall cause of it once (after i tried and failed to remove it).
