Just wondering whats the best cure for nerves.
My test is on the 14th and im already getting nervous. :(
Partly becuase me and mates want to have a little car trip around the uk and we need 2 cars. (me being one of them)

I think i have rushed into it a little but oh well, no going back now. Just got to try my best.
Anyone know how to calm themselves down and stop their nerves?

When I took my test I thought the car had a flat as I pulled out of the car park... was infact the sound of my heart pounding out of my chest :p

Just don't wind yourself up about it. Go in with a clear head and just have a nice natural, confident drive. Some degree of nerves are a good thing :)

Woo snap! I have my test on the 14th as well.

I'm just trying not to think about it atm. Get some practice this week and keep a clear head is my plan. I am also under pressure from friends to get my license. They need me to ferry them to and from college :p

If the stress really gets to you then maybe get some Pro Plus or similar from your local pharmacy?

Just try not to think about it. Have a few drinks if that's your thing (not the day of your test!!), and you'll relax.

There's no escaping that you'll be nervous on the day. I'm normally very laid back, but was pooing myself on my test. Just ride it out and tell yourself it'll be over soon (it will), it's the only way!

Oh, and good luck sir!

There is no cure mate, i was feeling nauseous i was so nervous. As soon as you get in the car you will be fine. Just treat it as a lesson.

Personally I saw it as my first chance to drive a car with no one telling me what to do. Treated like driving solo and really enjoyed it.

I also the advantage of thinking I'd failed which calmed me right down!

Might be a bit late now but personally I reckon not telling anyone is good too, don't put any more pressure on yourself etc.

Best of luck.

Alec

I just treated it as a demonstration to someone else that I could drive a car, not an exam. Made me much less stressed.

If you feel you're prepared for it enough then you shouldn't really have anything to worry about. Just stick to what you've learned it should go fine.

I'm assuming you've had mock tests with your instructor right? I had so many with mine that when I did the actual test it came very easily to me. Wasn't nervous at all because I felt I was prepared enough to take the test.

Good luck and have a nice test :)

Tomorrow is the big day.
I've only had one mock test. That was yesterday and i got 3 majors.
Putting them well in the back of my head though. All three were based on observations.
So can of redbull for me and eagle yeys switched on.

Just a word of advice, do not "zone out" during the test, in other words, dont let your mind wander.

If you stay concentrated on the task in hand, you will be fine

Good luck jaykay. Mines at 12.48 today (don't ask me why they make the times so exact ) so still got some time to chill.

Just drive the car like you would any day, safely and properly. You can do the manoeuvres? You can use the pedals? No problem. Just use the road signs and go the appropriate speed. You'll be fine.

I passed second time.

Yer i can do manovers and pedels etc.
I just dont keep a high level of concentration through the whole test.
So this is pirority number 1, i will not let my concentration slip.
