Hello All,

I've got a Nest system and am getting some new radiators, are there any Radiator Thermostats that "just work" with the Nest?

Any advice appreciated.

Cheers

Nest Thermostat doesn't have the ability to use Smart TRVs unfortunately

We have the nest system and went with the kasa ke100 trvs during black friday. Don't buy them unless they have a deal on.

Whilst they don't talk to each other, both can be managed in the google home app.

If anyone does know of a decent heating system (better than nest?) which integrates I'd also like to know.

I'm slowing moving away from google/nest home products.

Yeah this matches my experience that nest is kind of a dead end when it comes to multi room - unless you just buy a thermostat for each room… which is kinda pointless in my opinion because you still have to manually dial in room temps with the TRVs.

I have a Tado system with remote TRVs. I use them mostly with the Tado app on iOS but also have a few rules and automations set up with Apple home.

They work really well once you get used to the idea that the temps are the rad temps and not the room temps so you need to factor in the weather a bit.

I recently switched from Nest to Drayton Wiser which allows multi zone, smart trvs and extra stats wherever you need them for more granular control of your heating.

The Drayton trvs have temp monitors on them but we use the room stats to get a better idea of the actual room temp. When you add a smart stat to the same room as a smart trv the system defaults to using the stat as the temp control.

Seems to work well!

You can do the same with Tado and just make the room thermostat the measuring device for that room, it then controls the rad tvr's.
