Currently have a Nest thermostat connected to a Worcester Bosch 4000 combi boiler. Never really been overly impressed by it. The resolution of it is only every 0.5c so it’s never particularly comfortable once it has reached the target temperature. Thinking of swapping it to a Hive. There was one on the previous boiler although was a dual channel receiver rather than the single channel that is used for a combi. Should be able to reuse the Hub if I just buy the thermostat and single channel receiver. Appreciate that the Hive is basically an app controlled on/off switch but then so is the Nest, although the Nest can do Opentherm with a compatible boiler, which the Worcester isn’t. There’s the EasyControl as well but that doesn’t exactly get great reviews.
Would I be right in thinking that from the Nest heatlink to the Hive receiver backplate:
N and L to N and L
2 (common) to 1 (common)
3 (call for heat (normally open) ) to 3 Heating on NO
Earth to Earth
The cable for T1 and T2 to power the Nest, just disconnect and make safe.
