Got one of those Krups machines today, I hate coffee but the bloke said it will 'pour' just hot water so I can put my tea cup under there anyhow.

What are they like? Got some of the trial coffees to test, the Mrs will give them a go... thought it was worth a punt at 60 quid, worst case its got a 2 year wanger on it so i can bung it back at someone if its carp.

I haven't got one of these but I have a nespresso and I wouldn't want to use hot water from it for tea, coffee is not served as hot for a start

Why are you reacting like that to someone posting asking for advice in the appropriate forum?

@OP. Sorry, I can't help much. However, I guarantee the cofee part of it sucks :)

Because (not that it's any of your business) his other recent thread was about a new George Forman grill, 2 + 2 etc.

Apparently you can get tea 'things' to put in there as well, also hot chocolate... so im assuming the water must hit a decent temp. Although im not going to get mugged for those prices, i mean the Mrs has the odd coffee so its not going to be that bad... but me and tea are like overclockers and graphics card, lots of them :D

I don't want to sound like a traditionalist, but there's a reason why Britain has a very high rate of kettle ownership. It's because they're the best thing for making tea.

I personally wouldn't bother with any pod based coffee doofer. At the end of the day you're going to pay a lot more and end up having a lot less choice.

I've got a small blade grinder and a couple of cafetieres and or course a kettle. Probably the best bang for buck and doesn't take very long.

Makes tea this thing.. well not with the little krups things, but i use the boiled water to brew my bag

Not bad tbh, boils quick dosent pour that fast but does a job.

Ive had a choccino though, was alright dont think i made it right though.

I don't get it. If you don't like coffee, why didn't you just buy a kettle? You've spent £60 on a machine that will make expensive crap tea from pods, when you could have spent £30 and had a top end kettle and used teabags.

The Mrs has the coffee ... I was going to buy one of those instant boil things, but as this does hot water (not coffee flavoured, as you remove the pod thing to just get hot water out) might as well just use this.

I dont use the nescafe pods, infact the only tea they have is some peach thing... but i had the hot chocolate which was alright.
