The worst part of working in IT. Try to fix one problem only to spawn more.
So I move on to my next issue.
I'm trying to install a cloud backup solution on one of our domain controllers.
When I try to install it it says it's having issues starting one of the services.
I skip it and let it install.
When I try to run it, it gives me a generic error message. I go in to services to manually start the service it was complaining about previously and I get Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.
When I google this further it is telling me I need to install .net 1.1 on this Windows Server 2008 machine.
However this is the important part. When I try to run the .net 1.1 installer it is telling me there is a known incompatibility with IIS on this computer.
We use IIS for a few things on this computer dont want to break it.
Any thoughts?
