net gear and virgin media issues?

Got a mte who has a VM+ box, broadband works fine but as soon as she puts the netgear wireless hub onto it it cant get a gateway/dns out.

before i go and sort this out is there any known issues with these two?

There's no compatibility issue with Netgear kit and the V+ box, but what Netgear kit has she got?

Not sure tolien, will ask her at work tomorrow and see what she has. She has asked a PC firm to come and look and they want £50 to come and look lol!!

Not in my nature to rip people off so said ill fix it for a couple of cans of Red K cider

Well, will give it a good go. How hard could it be.

She is using Vista though

I use netgear with my SB5100 cable modem. I know my cable modem can act as a dhcp server, so make sure that it isnt conflicting.
