.NET makes me log in!

Ive recently had to install .Net to get a program to work. But ever since ive done this, ive been presented with the windows login screen during bootup. I don't really want or need this login screen, as I am the only user. So how do I get it to return to how it was, by simply booting to the desktop?

typing 'control userpasswords2' into the run box and checking/unchecking the relevant options will also help if that doesn't work...
