Net send.

Using work machines at erm, work I can use "net send [ip address/pc name]" and type a message in CMD.

When I try on my network at home (workgroup) it says this is no longer supported. Amy ideas why the two networks would be different? (other than the work being on a domain)

At home, XP, that service is turned off since SP2 to stop spammers using it to send out 'spam' to any machine on the internet and not covered by a firewall.

i think you have to enabled the messenger service, not too sure though
