I installed Netbeans via adept over the weekend. I have JDK1.6 installed already.

When i run Netbeans it tells me that I need to install the JDK or run netbeans with the --jdkhome parameter.

I'm running KDE4 and would like to use the shortcut on favourites to launch Netbeans. Is there a way to modify this shortcut so that it passes the parameter?

Thanks

Russ

I used netbeans and had a similar problem - 1 download the .deb from the netbeans site as the repo will probably quite old.

second to fix the problem I ended up having to go through the process of fixing it as netbeans guides you too, but then navigating to the same JDK 1.6 it is already looking and renaming a folder from 1.6 to 1.60.

Im sorry Im not being too much help cos it was last year I used it but giv it a go.
