Netbook for my mum

Hi there

My mum is a buisnessy type with the need for a fast responding basic netbook for train journeys ect. I am thinking about buying a netbook, cloning the HDD to a SSD and whacking that it.

My questions:
Would the above work?
What netbooks would you recommend?

Hardly worth putting an SSD in a netbook where the atom processor will be the limiting factor.

Eh? That will have no bearing at all. The SSD will boot the laptop at a stage where the CPU is under virtually no load. An SSD will outperform an HDD in a netbook application many times over. Only thing to consider is that if you are going to do a lot of disk writiing, SSDs shelf life is not as great as HDD
