Am looking to get one of the children their first computer.
They happily use the desktop, but could really do with their own now for Minecraft, Youtube, listening to music, iPlayer etc. Nothing heavy.
My choice would be a desktop, would be sturdier but do not want to force them upstairs just yet so would like to keep it more sociable.
A bottom of the pile Notebook would be too bulky and the battery life would be poor, hence the Netbook preference.
A convertible is not essential but would be nice.
A tablet would be "OK" I suppose but I would prefer a "PC" architecture as this would give more options for use than a tablet.
