A friend has bought one of these little Atom netbooks . Came preinstalled with Linux (Yuck)

They cant get on with it so want windows on it . Can i load windows from a mem stick or similiar? as no cd drive and i dont have a portable one .

Also whats best ? Xp or vista with the atom cpu ?

I've heard Windows7 is meant to be as good as XP for netbooks, so I'd swing towards that.
I put vista on the one I got my mum for her birthday and it works fine (2gig ram) - she loves it.

1gb ram ...and didnt wanna do win7 as eventually gonna have to buy/remove it and not my machine
...

Hmm xp it is then !!

Btw will using a pen drive work ?
