Netbook memory confusion

Just got an MSI Wind U135DX netbook. All the documentation, manual, MSI website and even the sticker on the palmrest and the box say it has 1Gb of DDR3 ( soldered to the motherboard ) with a single socket for another 1Gb stick.

However when i open up CPU-Z to check what speed ram to buy im greeted with this



So what do i bilieve? CPU-Z that says its DDR2 or the box and stuff that says DDR3

Perhaps CPU-Z can't read it properly.

If the timings are correct, 6-5-5-12, then it's almost certainly DDR2 not DDR3.

If you look at the socket for the additional stick then you'll see if that's for DDR2 or DDR3 as only one of them will fit.

You're also missing 10MB but perhaps that's something to do with the graphics.

Well ive added a stick of DDR3 and its showing 2gb now. Odd that the original stuff shows as DDR2
