Recently I've been using a friends year old Macbook Pro and come to adore it, now I currently have a Asus eeePC 1005p which is great for portability but lacks on what it's capable of doing and I'm thinking of upgrading from it.
The problem is, I'm a Mac noob and whilst I would be willing to learn from the system I don't think I could afford a brand new Macbook Pro.
What I'm looking for is a Netbook/Notebook thats capable of running programs such as microsoft office, web browsing software to the unreal development kit. Whilst low-end gaming still being possible.
Additional Extras would be:
- MacBook Pro style keyboard (see here, the feel, not the look)
- Portable, I travel a lot so it would be kept in my bag.
- 13" to 16", again with the portablility and too small can get frustrating on the keyboard.
I've had a look so far and I've found these:
Asus Vx6
Samsung Q430
Acer Timeline 8371
Whilst most of what I've read points to the Acer Timeline 8371 I'm still unsure and what to know what other possibilities there are, I'm willing to spend up to £500 but obviously if there is a considerably better model for £100 or so more then I would like to know of it.
