I just wanted to know peoples experiences with their netbooks and the 1024 x ~600 resolution they all come with (save the HP).

How is it for viewing websites in general, do they all fit or is sideways scrolling common?

The reason I ask is that I am eyeing the Samsung NC10, but I am also considering the Dell Mini 12, purely because it offers 1280 x 800 resolution, which I have and love on my current laptop

My Samsung NC10 displays the whole of web pages, no scrolling is needed at this resolution. I also had a MSI Wind/Advent 4211 which was exactly the same.

Bit of a rubbish picture here, but it shows you roughly what it is displayed like.

its not too bad for reading and once you enable true type for the screen its a lot better... navigating can be a pain on certain more busy websites so can file management, but in general if you keep your number of windows open to minimum its very usable.

Most website will scale down to the screen unless put together badly, there are users out there that still use 800x600 as thats all their system can handle...

What I think that they really need is a glossy screen as they should make the perfect mobile media player even thou the speaker level and quality are pants on the different builds that I've seen.

I'm eying the advent 4213 the one with the built in sim card reader as it looks a lot nicer than the advent 4211 (msi wind) that I'm using at work. But like said I'm really looking for one with a glossy screen as I so used to them now.
