Netbook Screen Problems

Hi all,

I cracked the screen on my asus eee pc 1005ha, so bought a replacement 10.1" screen online. When I plugged it in and booted up the asus logo and the post screen do not fit on the screen. The windows loading splash screen also does not fit the screen. When xp loads the default 1024 x 600 resolution cant be selected and even when a higher resolution is selected the whole desktop extends beyond the visible area - so I cant see the start bar or the far right of my desktop or open windows.

Things I have tried so far....

Updating the intel 945 express drivers.....no change

Flashing the bios.....no change, would like to reflash to an older bios but the asus alt + F2 EZ flash utility prevents a reflash to an older bios.

Any ideas what is going on here!?

had the issue with a laptop at work. We found that if you go onto the graphics settings there is sometimes a zoom button or a list giving the ption of how the screen should be displayed. I will se if i can find the exact location and how to do it, will post back if i find anything
