I borrowed this Netbook from a friend, forgot the power cable at his house. I have the actual adatper that goes from that, into the actual Netbook, I have forgotten the power cable (bit that goes from the adapter to the power socket).

I have 2 power cables that fit the adapter at home, one of them is 3 AMP the other is 5 AMP, the one that I have forgetten is 4 AMP.

Which is safer to use? 3 AMP or the 5 AMP?

Just to note, everything else is the same, the voltage ect.

5A, the amperage of the adaptor is just what it can supply, not what it will. What volts/amps does the netbook specify (it will be on a sticker)?

Thanks for the prompt response but I have checked everywhere and I cannot see the amperage on the Netbook sticker, I can only see 16V on it. The model of the Netbook is Sony Vaio VGN-TT11WN hopefully you can dig up this detail somewhere and advise me, thank you :)

Sorry if I've sort of oversized it or anything, but just making sure this is the battery from the Netbook. Not much details on there too.
