Hi, was looking for some help with this if possible, been looking at the 311 Mini and the T130 and also the Acer Timeline 18xx.

Uses:
Emails/Web
Office
Iplayer
Wifi built in
Photos

I'd like it with Windows 7 and as future proof as possible say to last 4 years.

Spec wise:
Light and ultra portable - say around the 13.6" screen size.
Quick, don't want it to be sluggish.
Easy to read.
Card reader for camera/USB port

Budget would be around £350 excluding VAT, but that's flexible if it's worth getting a few extras etc.

Thanks

I think you are going to have to up your budget if you want to strictly keep to your needs.

the cheapest 13" laptop from a cheap place that sells quite a few is £450, and its a dog, the next cheapest that may be ok is £480

V13 4100? £340 inc. VAT for a 13.3" LED Screen, an Intel ULV Pentium Dual Core 4100, 2GB DDR3, a 320GB HDD etc. Easily enough for those uses listed, no OS as standard but again, Linux is the best option for stuff like that.

It's the 15'' version of the 3810TZ. With added dvd drive. You also have the 4810TZ as a compromise. I don't think you'll noticed much difference between the three models (apart from the size and bulk obviously). the 13'' might be a bit sturdier (less potential for flex).
