netbook / ultra portable

I've been out of touch with the latest and bestest, and my sister is looking for a netbook / ultra portable. Thinking 11'' Fusion E-350, or i3. Long battery life, portable, decent quality, not too expensive. Was thinking MacBook Air, but not on librarian salary

Also, maybe tablet / i-pad?

Could always look at the Acer Aspire S3 depending on your budget, not the best ultrabook on the market but it's a lot cheaper than some of the others.

still too much. I figure it would have to be some sort of netbook, like a 5253, DM1, or something like that. Maybe a i3 under £450.

What would be the best E-350 netbook?

Have a look at the Lenovo Thinkpad X121e. Big thread about it just below this one. 11.6" screen. You can get it with an AMD E-450 processor or an I3. I've just ordered the i3 version for £370 as an Xmas pressie for the wife. Those who already have them seem pretty pleased with them.

Popped in to the local electronics megastore, and they had a Sony Vaio VPCYB2M1E/S with E-350, 500GB, 4GB for £399. Awfully tempted myself

Unfortunately, my sister lives in France, but something like that will pretty good for her.

The Thinkpad also looks like a good option. In fact, I'd love one myself

But my UL30A is still doing the business.
