The Acer One and MSI Wind/Advent 4211 don't have one for sure. You might have to get an older sub notebook, serial hasn't been on many laptops for years now.
the experience i had with them is that a lot of devices will not be detected via a usb to serial adapter, have no clue why but they just dont work with a lot of things.

thats the reason right there i even tried one that i got from the rainforest and it just wouldnt find my device suppose i could try and hunt down an old cheap lappy that might work, the usb to serial cables seem very flakey best of times and the drivers hinder more than help am sure of it
Add the EEE PC to the list of doesn't have and to be honest shouldn't be needed anymore. I think it is time hardware stopped with the serial connections really! Yes that means you aswell, that expensive over priced managed switch/router. Isn't 1990 anymore!
