Is it still possible to get small 10" laptops/netbooks?
I have an Inspiron Duo which is very useful at times but could really do with a bit more power.
I know the newer Atom chips are supposed to be really good but cannot find anything anywhere anymore.

It needs to have a keyboard and run full Windows so a tablet isn't really the ideal solution.

The Acer looks a possible one, although reading reviews it appears the storage is not sata/pcie based and not very good.
Seems a limitation of the new Atoms which is odd as my old Dell is Sata. Why remove support??

I don't see them as a fad. My Dell gets a lot of use as it is small and (relatively) light plus I can install pretty much anything I need even if it is slow.
The low price of them also means i am happier using it 'in the field' (quite literally actually) without too many concerns.

I've seen some Asus 11.6" options but they are not easily available here it seems plus the extra size does make a difference. They also look a bit 'delicate'.

The S200E is a solid little machine but I think they are moving to a new version of it due out soon as stock has dried up of S200E.

The S200E is really nice. It isn't delicate; it's actually really rigid. Way better build quality than you'd expect for the price. My biggest complaint is that the screen is quite reflective.
