Netbooks

Right I couldn't get a proper reply in the big threads so I'm hoping y'all here could help me out with this.

As everyone I'm utterly confused with the hundreds of similar models of netbooks, I've now narrowed it down to two choices:

Acer One: 1Gb RAM 120Gb Atom HD Linux
Asus 900:1Gb RAM Celeron Mobile 80Gb Linux

Now just a couple of questions,

1. Once I put the XP files on a memory stick is it easy enough to boot from it and install XP?
2. Whats the performance difference between the two?
3. Whats the battery life difference

Sorry about all the questions but I don't wanna buy one then regret it and also any other suggestions would be most welcome

I dont know the difference in performance for the 2 mentioned above - sorry!
