Been thinking about getting it but doesn't seem to be much choice when i 'browse' what's on offer unless they don't show everything until you pay up?

wondered what you guys though of it.

Load of rubbish m8 same as lovefilm. Films are always over a year old, and as you say they both have limited choices. I got both on Friday and will be ended them both next month.

I absolutely love netflix. I have the full sky package with movies and box office for when I want to watch the most recent stuff.

I don't use netflix for films because they are a little out of date but for watching series its fantastic.

I've never really been one to get sucked into long tv series but since getting netflix I'd say 80%-90% of the tv we watch is via netflix on the ps3.

So far we've watched :

Jericho
Prison break
Lost
Just started watching Breaking Bad

If I hadn't negotiated such a good deal for my sky package it would be gone as me and the wife hardly watch it unless there's something we specifically want to watch such as An Idiot Abroad for example.

There's also some kind of tweak you can do that's legal which tricks netflix into thinking you are in the US and get access to way more stuff!

NetFlix is fantastic over here. Lots of films from 2012 on it. Give it chance as its not been in the UK long.

I absolutely love netflix. I .

!

Same here, also browsing doesnt show you everything, in fact there's no easy way to see everything even when signed up.

Yes stuff is old due to Skys exclusiptivity. But remeber its £5.99 and does have tons of content.

Sky has NowTV which has plenty of new stuff, but no back catalogue or tv shows on it yet. But it's due to expand sometime in 2013. It's £15, but ATM netflix is better. Hopfully once NowTV expands in to TV shows and back catalogues it will be awesome.

Yeah netflix would be amazing if they had even half the content in the UK they have in the US :| the platform is solid just doesn't have newer content soon enough or enough of it to make it what it should be - there is plenty of old content tho if you haven't seen it and/or can't be bothered to dig out/rent the DVDs.

So how do you find what is on there, just guess a film and search? It can't be that hit and miss can it? I was thinking of giving this a go as I think it is available on the Wii U.

Pretty sure there is a way to allow you to view the US version on the ps3.

I have the US version on my PS3 and UK version on my Xbox. Seems a little random the film choices, I was under the impression any movie which has a good chance to sell on DVD or Blu Ray will seldom appear. Non-blockbuster movies appear more often such as Drive which is relatively new and good quality.....just don't expect Skyfall etc any time soon.

The inability to browse seems like a major oversight and without much logic. The catalogue seems huge but you only can see what they want you to see. If you watch a couple of movies of a certain genre your selection seems to change. www.instantwatcher.com supposdly lists all the movies available but it does not seem very intuitive.

As the other posters have mentioned the TV catalogue is worth the cash and add an extra couple of £ to access the US version and it seems bearable.

Netflix is good , much better than Lovefilm streaming , get Unblock US or try the trial first for a week.

With unblock you can select loads of regions such as USA,UK,Canada,Brazil,Mexico,Swedon... services as well.

It has some great tv series on there such as Breaking Bad which I'm currently loving!!!

Also US netflix has recently agreed a deal with Disney/Pixar content but for new stuff we will have to wait till 2014 I think but old stuff can be viewed now I think.

http://www.unblock-us.com/

try this for free for a week, visit netflix.com and it should then show you the US library for you to view and stream from.

Yeah I pay a sub to these guys and watch the US Netflix on my PS3, works a treat, you have to visit their site again if your IP changes just to refresh your account, but its been faultless for me since Netflix come to the UK.

With what I watch I don't notice a huge difference between the UK/US one, but yeah the US one has more of course.

I had it and cancelled it before the trial ran out due to lack of material to watch; I'm quite a film boff. I found myself watching the dairy of a call girl just for the sake of it.

Streaming wise it was perfect and you can't tell when its being buffered.

My mate has it and its running via a USA proxy settings and he says there's a lot more material.

Find yourself a promo trial code and give it a try.
