Netflix - best method of accessing US content?

Hi guys

What method do you use to access the US content on Netflix and does it still just cost £5.99 a month?

I've been reading a couple of tutorials which offer different methods, one of which charges and one recommends not using a VPN.

I'd be interested in hearing how you do it, I trust the collective knowledge of the forum more!

It is a bit slower than the UK version, but still more than usable

I'm in my free month (joined after Blockbuster went belly up) and to be honest I'm a little disappointed with the content on Netflix. Do the 'extras' described above add a lot more?

Thanks for your posts everyone, appreciate it! Looks like the free version is the way to go though I think I'll investigate the paid for version, see if it makes a big difference.

I can use a VPN as well...anyone access it through that?

I just change my DNS on the xbox and use hola on the pc. works perfectly, no extra charges and not much hassle. Netflix is easily worth the fiver a month.

I use a mozzila plugin/addon and it's free, google it.

I've just set my VPN up on my tablet for the first time, connects to East US successfully so that should be OK (haven't tried it yet, I'm going to sign up in a bit).

Just done a speed test which connected to a US server and I got almost 19.59/6.9mbps over it...that should be enough for watching!

Changed DNS on my Apple TV. Roku stayed the same.

So now have Netflix from both side of the pond, could change the DNS on the Xbox too for Canada Netflix but that would be a bit OTT lol

Been using Mediahint for around a year or so now and also provides access to Hulu too

Just has soo much more TV Series on the whole aswell as having the latest of a shows series than the UK has to offer

i use moreflicks to identify which netflix region i need. then use unblockus to change the region to gain access to much more content.

Unblock US DNS settings on my XBox One and Nexus 7 but not on my router so I can easily access UK Netflix on my TV from my computer. For $4.99 a month Unblock US is worth it.
