Just had another email saying my 4K package is rising to £10 a month as of December.

Think it’s time to cancel, not enough 4K content to justify another price rise.

If they had a 4K + 1 screen package for £6 it wouldn’t be too bad but I don’t need 4 screens as it’s only me using it but I’d still want 4K.

That’s 2 price rises in 1 year but I don’t see much more content available.

This plus Amazon prime, NowTV and IPTV it will cost £30 a month so it’s not worth it to me anymore as I don’t get chance to watch TV now.

£2 a month increase, like most people you probably spend more than that a day on your lunch at work.

This for me is the real downside of our current streaming model, while it's great to be able to get antimecaccess to some amazing content and some massive back catalogs it's frustrating to need so many different services and to have continually shifting content. I'd love some sort of aggregator service with a combined subscription and a single interface. People would still find some lame excuse to pirate stuff but some always will!

It don't really work like that..

As you need to add that £2 a month to all the other increases of other things you pay for every day/week/month/year

Example
rent extra £10 per week
Sky extra £5 per month
Fuel extra £10 per month
Food extra £10 per month
Car insurance extra £5 per month
Electric bill extra £5 per month
Etc
Etc
Etc

Yeah it’s annoying.

I have Netflix for Power and Stranger things, amazon prime for the delivery and NowTV for sky Atlantic as you don’t get it through virgin TV.

Would be ideal to have it all in one package.

I can't help but think they're trying to dig their own grave, recently they've been offering less for more. I can see from this people will be making the move to Amazon, which whilst the 4k content is still quite limited (or you have to pay for it on top of the Prime subscription) there is the free next day delivery which is the main reason I pay for it.

Doesn't bother me however I'd say 10 is my limit, I do enjoy most of there shows they do daredevil, stranger things, orange is new black to name a few.

I actually watch more tv shows on it than movies, i do think more 4k stuff needs adding though

I also like the TV shows they do. But are there any good films on netflix? It's a rare occurrence for me tbh. (films that are good and I've not already seen)

Oh no, not a £1 increase to £10. When you consider the price of other options it is a bargain. Just a shame we don't get the content that other countries do - was shocked what I could get on there when in Spain.

Edit: oh wait, just realised it is £2  :p

This is apparently what people wanted though, people were sick of Sky etc having the rights to all the big shows. Now that we've got half a dozen competing services, it seems people want a way to have everything all on one service again.

Yup. With Disney having theirs come along too, that'll be another. Hulu isn't really available in the UK so we miss out on a lots of things there. It's getting ridiculous tbh.
We've got Sky Q, Netflix and Amazon Prime Video and we're not getting anything else on top of that.

Why is anyone surprised that modified kodi boxes have become so successful?

Yeah it's 'only a couple of quid' increase, but it's the constant drip drip drip of increasing prices. I think I watch Prime more than any other service, and at least it has delivery which I use a lot. Now tv mainly for movies, and very little on Netflix. It is very annoying to need different services for content.

I must admit, I only joined Netflix a month ago (Free month) but already been emailed to say the package I selected (top one) is going up in price. I also thought it would have more films too, lots of series which I’m enjoying (Star Tre Discovery, The Expanse and Stranger things) but there’s no film consistency, for example there’s Captain America Winter Soldier but not the first one!

Prime still seems the odd one out, cannot dip into it for just a month afaik (if you need the annual no mimimum delivery option OK) ;
otherwise for nowtv and netflix, can alternate month by month if you want to be economic/mean

Trouble is sky's TV packages are obscenely priced as everything subsidises the sports channels which basically goes to fund rich footballers! I want a middle ground of a reasonable subscription price giving access to a good breadth of content which seems to be getting further away!
