Signed up with Netflix again and am using unblock-us with my smart tv to check out the content available to each region.

I was wondering if anyone had any preference for which region to watch and the reason behind it.

I've currently stuck with Canada as it seems to have a far higher amount of movies than anywhere else i've tried, also a number of TV shows i've struggled to find on any other region.

I tend to stick with the US as it has all the content I need (mostly Scandal and Parks and Recreation lately). Just as a general tip though for finding stuff easily, http://www.moreflicks.com is really handy for checking what region various shows and movies are available in. :)

Thanks for the moreflicks link, didn't know about that site.

I've taken out Netflix, Amazon streaming and Now TV, all costing me less than my previous Sky sub did without any movies included.

The Canadian and Scandinavian sites seem to get the newer films first. Netherlands has the fargo series.

Hmmm, interesting thread!

I use US Netflix using a VPN to the US and going to netflix.com, is it just as easy to go to netflix. whatever the country code is?

How do you access the Netherlands Netflix for example from the UK?

It's all done on IP, not what site you go to.
Just use Netherlands, or Canadian, or Brazil, etc, etc. Etc IP.

Noooooo
Looks like moreflicks.com will cease or at least for Netflix, Netflix are removing their public APIs soon.

I just use unblock-us @ about £2.50/month. It's simply a case of logging to the site, selected a drop down menu for the country you want and then accessing netflix on your chosen device.

IE: On my smart tv, I can have netflix open on say Canada, open a browser window on the tv, goto unblock-us and change to any other country, I then go back to Netflix, refresh and it loads the other content immediately, no need to log in/out.
