I've enabled HDR and gave the netflix app a go, HDR is rather dark no? On the Samsung TV app it's fine but I wish to use the Windows app for Dolby Atmos support.

Anyone else noticed the same dark HDR and managed to fix it?

maybe the difference is down to limitation of windows 10 supporting HDR10 netflix versus dolby vision on your tv app ... have you tried using dynamic hdr on the tv when driving it from the pc ?
if the tv believes the hdr10 from the pc has default brightness up to 4k, but it is only 1K, for that movie, then the full range of the tv will not be used, so dark picture.

No issues using windows 10 app from PC, like you have Samsung TV for which app does not support atmos which is annoying. I just make sure game mode is off when viewing Netflix on pc app, hdr enabled and I select YCBCR 4:2:2 and appropriate but rate is selected in Nvidia control panel. Just make sure the same calibration settings are dialled in and looks largely similar.

he has a Samsung TV so no Dolby vision support. Will only give HDR via the TV app anyways.
