NETGEAR config problems

Hi Folks. I’m a newbie here & hope somebody can help me with a Router problem.

I’m trying to set up a NETGEAR DGN1000 modem/router. I’ve managed to get connected to my ADSL service & have it available on all my networked computers including those connected by wireless. However I have a problem.

My network printer (XEROX Phaser 6110) nor my IP camera are visible at all whereas if I use one of the other routers I have, they can been seen & used. (I’m changing Routers as the others tend to lock up). I’m sure I’m a click away from getting things right but which click I have no idea & have become very frustrated. Any help will be MOST appreciated. Thanks.

maybe you need to forward the correct ports for both the printer and the camera?

Please excuse the ignorance, but how do I do that? I don't recall doing that before with my other Routers yet they all see the printer & camera & the camera goes out on the Internet as well.

Check to see if UPnP is enabled on your router - makes stuff magically connectable if everyone supports it.

'fraid I've already done that but I checked & Yes, it is enabled. Really weird as it even sees my iPhone when I have it on.
