netgear DF834 problems: login into firmware

so i have the password

i go to the ip address of the router

it gives me the prompt - i type in my user and password

then it refreshes and asks again on constant loop

will not access the web interface on any browser

plus i get page load errors on all my tabs at the moment as well as generally terrible performance all round

anyone know why this password loop is occuring?

i can fix it after that - just cant get access!

i have checked the password loads of times

it is correct

i reset to default and it is still doing it

can access from my laptop
but not my main rig
