Netgear DG834 Power Supply

Have here a Netgear DG834 Router but dont have a supply for it, i've looked on the Netgear website & it looks like it comes with a 12V 1A supply.

I have got a 12V 1250mA supply here with the correct plug, but will this work with it supplying 25% more amps than required?

Should be fine. The router will only draw as much power as it needs. Too high a voltage would be a problem but not too high an ampage.
