Hey guys,

I have a problem with accessing my netgear settings. When I type 192.168.0.1, it says, this page can't be displayed. I don't get the part where it askes for Username and Password.

I use this router as an access point so I can connect the PS3 wirelessly. I have put a WEP key, but I reset my PS3 settings and now I don't know what's the WEP key.

I tried to reset to the factory settings and that didn't help.

Is there anything I can try? Is there any software that will allow me to edit the settings.

Thanx

If your PC is hooked up to the router go to type cmd in run then type ipconfig /all and press enter see some IP addresses, it may not be 192.168.0.1

If you type ipconfig the router IP should be displayed as the Default Gateway.

It's also possible you assigned your PC a static IP on a different subnet.

Well, I just did the ipconfig and there isn't anything next to the Deafult Getaway.
What does ipconfig say your IP is?

It sounds like the DHCP server on the router isn't assigning you an IP address.

EDIT: Before you try the method below, have you connected your PC to the router via a cable or wireless NIC? Best to try doing a factory reset on the router (hold the small button down for at lease 30 seconds), and then connect the PC via a cable. Then restart you computer and see if you can connect.

If so you need to assign a static IP to allow you to log in to the router.

Control Panel->Network Connections->Local Area Connection->Properties(right click to find properties)

Then choose Internet Protocol from the list and click the properties button.

Click the "Use the following IP address" radio button and type in the following details.

IP Address: 192.168.0.2
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 192.168.0.1

Click the "Use the following DNS Server" radio button and type in the following details.

Preferred DNS: 192.168.0.1
Alternate DNS: Leave Blank

You should now be able to login to the router.

I used to have that happening, sometimes get page can't be displayed, and other times would work fine, found out it was due to ZoneAlarm which i used to use. :)
