Please help.

Okay so I'm having some problems with NAT on my netgear modem, whenever I try to disable it completely or disable the nat firewall i lose my connection.
This is really beginning to frustrate me now and if anyone knows how I can sort it it would be appreciated.

yeah, currently running the latest available.
do i need to do anything else before disabling the nat firewall to make it work cause its causing havok with my torrents.
it keeps giving me intermitent 'yellow icons' in both uTorrent and Azereus.

You can't disable NAT if you only have one public IP address - that's how the router shares your connection in the first place. You can disable any firewall built into the router in favour of the XP one though, but NAT isn't a firewall (and I wish router manufacturers would stop calling it one).

The easiest thing to do is enable UPnP and then tell uTorrent to open it's own holes in the firewall, or to manually port forward the ports to your machine.

I've messed with firewall settings and even tried turning it off completely, didnt help me at all.
