netgear DG834G

It's a router - it doesn't require any kind of "OS Compatability".
The only thing that you will use to talk to the device is a web interface - IE, Firefox, Opera etc.

I don't think it applies in the way you are suggesting...

It's a router and connects to the computer via either a network port or wireless port, so the real question you should ask yourself is: Does your network port/card support vista, because if it does it won't matter about the router.

well the mobo i have is a asus an832 sli delux with gigabyte eathernet but i'll be going conro soon
going for the eather the evga 680i bored or the new asus striker 680i

Just make sure you have the Vista drivers for your Network device before you do the upgrade to Vista, whatever motherboard you have, just incase vista doesn't include them and you end up with no network.

Yeah as long as you have a Vista LAN driver for your motherboard your router will work fine as as said above, routers dont require any drivers at all. :)

dont have vista yet but i'll make sure i get everything down and copyed to my backup drive before i do upgrade is it worth doing it now or **** i wait a few months till they sort out and driver probs
