Hey guys,

Can this router be used as a switch, a wireless switch aswell?

I ask cause, i'm thinking about getting a new ISP that uses ADSL+2 and I heard this router is a bit turd with ADSL2. So if I get the free ADSL2 router from the ISP, could I use that for connecting to the net and just have a network cable from the new router into the DG834G. All the PC's would still be pluged into the netgear.

Firstly if your new ISP is giving you a 'free' wireless router (I don't know who your ISP is but most seem to be happy to chuck wireless routers at people as opposed to wired versions) that's any good why would you need the Netgear ?

Seccondly try it with ADSL2, you may be surprised.

If you want to run it as an AP then yes it will work fine plugged into another router, just make sure DHCP is off on the Netgear and you'll be fine.

Kool thanks!

The router they give out for free doesn't have enugh ports on it!

I need a few wire'd things connected to it.
