Got a few queries to fellow netgear users hopefully with the same or similar hardware. Firstly my macbook connects to the router at 130mbps no matter which mode I set it on, or so the networking status monitor tells me which is built into the machine. Secondly when I put 'upto 270 mbps mode' on the router theres literally no difference in how it performs, but theres a loss in network signal and internet constantly. Even weirder is the fact if I go to use 270 mode the amount of wireless channels I can choose from goes from 1-13 to 1-7 :s
My headache atm is why my macbook connects to the router at 130 all the time, even on N mode (270 on the router) but I dont get that speeds. Im talking about connection speed btw, not throughputs as I know that would be waaaaay lower.
Ideas?
