Netgear DGN2000 only running at 10mbps

hey guys,

I started to copy a terabyte of data from one machine to another via cat5 but i quickly realized that both machines are only running at 10mbps.

I've checked and both NIC's are 10/100/1000 standard and the router should be able to 100mbps.

Why am I stuck at 10mbps??

I've changed the speed mode to 100 full duplex on both machines and rebooted the router and the other machines but when i open the task manager and check the networking tab, I can see the link speed is only 10mbps

Help me please!!!

Could be the read/write speed of the hard drives but that's what I'm guessing.

Not sure about your issue but you realise that even at 100Mbit that'll take over 24 hours yeah?

the actual link speed shown on my nic icon in the sys tray is 10mbps.

I started coping files last week!!

I'm only now getting round to doing something about it since I've had a lot on.
