I'm with TalkTalk LLU and I'm using DGN2000 which has the Broadcom chipset and I'm having stability problem. The connection is just not stable at all. I've heard that people said Broadcom chipset is the best to go for. So why am I having problems with this router?

I have an old DG834G v3 which is non-Broadcom and it works better.

Can someone explain to me what the hell is going on?

How long are you leaving the line connected before deciding it's unstable?
Also what do you mean by "unstable" varying performance? Dropouts?
Is it definitely the router? Have you tried ruleing things like wireless connectivity etc out as the cause of the issues? Is the line unstable with both routers?

Changing chipsets can sometimes give a little performance boost, it doesn't usually resolve unstable lines as this is usually caused by faults on the line.

It doesn't matter by how long it is connected, I had it connected for about a week before and it was unstable.

I meant "unstable" by varying performance and ping. Never dropped out.

No, I haven't tried the wireless connectivity "ruling" thing. I don't understand this bit, can you clarify it?

My line is ok and stable. The DG834G v3 worked better!
