Anybody got a Netgear DM111P ethernet modem working with Vista?
It works fine on the Windows XP partition on my PC, and always has. However, it does not seem to work on Windows Vista. On Vista, I reset the modem to factory defaults, login to the web configuration page (192.168.0.1),and configure the modem. When I reboot the modem from the web page, I lose connection to the web configuration page and obviously cannot connect to the internet either. The web configuration page then remains inaccessible.
Thanks :)

are you connecting via ethernet or usb?

I'd recommend using ethernet, then it should be a simple job of just putting your isp informationin to your route.r

Its an ethernet modem only so by ethernet :) Intel Proset LAN drivers on mobo (Badaxe 2) are up to date and vista compatible
As soon as I put the IPS info in the modem configuration page and reboot the modem I lose connection between PC and modem

Hmm, Is NAT Enabled on the routeR?

When I set up my ukfsn the other day for somereason nat got disabled....

but i could still connect via the web interface.

Also is dhcp enabled and all that jaz?

Just an ethernet modem, no router.

DHCP is enabled. Exactly the same configuration settings for the modem (ie PPoA, VC , etc) as work fine in XP.
Maybe has something to do with the new IP6 protocol etc in Vista....
Thanks for taking to trouble to reply :)
