Hi,

I've been trying to get my Netgear FA311 card working on fedora 8 with no luck, anyone had any similar experiences they can share?

I've tried the Madwifi route, but it doesn't seem to compile ?!?

I'm a Linux noob btw

Cheers

try fedoraforum.org or forums cant remember which one, however i thought the FA311 would work as i've used these before and they went fine, try updating your kernel or compile a new one? re-seat the card, see if will detect with kudzu

Isn't the FA311 an ethernet NIC? If so madwifi will do nothing for you, as that's for atheros based WiFi NICs. Let me know and we should be able to sort something out. I've never known a Netgear NIC not work OOTB on Linux before, especially Fedora 8!
