Netgear Firmware?

Hi there,

Ive recently got my Netgear wireless router (DG834GT) back off my sister, since she doesn't use it anymore and my BeBox is crap

I dont have a clue what firmware is on there. Most probably the standard factory one.

Is there a better firmware out there? Does a change of firmware actually make a difference to performance?

It seems to be able to increase attainable sync rates and reliability/performance depending on what you get.

It's back up now

You'll probably be wanting to "upgrade firmware" to the "DG834GT_V1.02.16_DGTeam_0848.zip" firmware.

You could then go to "Advanced ADSL settings" in the firmware and change your SNR percentage for example.

Im going to have a play about with that after the match. I was having some troubles getting it to connect to the internet in the first place with the Be settings.

Im having trouble flashing a sky router to this firmware. Any one have any clues.

It was vista that would not let me use the recovery tool. Xp did it straight to the DGteam Firmware.
