netgear messing with my domain lookup

I recently tested a wifi extender and have since disconnected it.

However, when I try to go to speedtest.net I get redirected to www.mywifiext.net. When I was connected to the wifi extender this would bring up a management page, but now that the wifi extender is not turned on and I'm no longer connected to it, I just get a virgin media 404. How can I undo whatever netgear has done?

have you checked your keyboard first of all? it soudns like the error could originate there?

To Clear/flush DNS cache in Microsoft Windows.

Start >> Run >> type cmd

In command prompt, type ipconfig /flushdns

hmm, that doesn't seem to have helped.

http://ip-lookup.net/domain.php tells me that speedtest.net public ip is http://216.146.46.11/ If I try to go there I get a plain 404.

If I try the same procedure for speedtest.net.uk, http://91.199.78.81/ works fine.
