Hello,
I am on BT broadband and connected my netgear nighthawk R7000-100UKS router instead of BT smarthub and got ontothe netgear page to set it up but could not connect my PC (wireless) using WPS or setup wizard. Hope you can kindly help, thanks

Also I would like to ask, which is better, the above or the Draytek 2760n on the BT broadband 9not infinity), since i have both of these routers but not sure which to use. I got online with the Draytek thanks to their phone support but cannot get online with the neatgear.

The Netgear R7000 doesn't have a modem built in, how are you trying to set up?

The BT smart hub is a midem/router/WiFi access point combined, the R7000 is only a router/WiFi access point. From a quick Google search the Draytek is able to connect to ADSL/VDSL lines direct so must have a built-in modem.

I have always had good experiences with Draytek. The 2760n seems very fast and stable, am not sure whether I should upgrade to BT infinity though

i thought the netgear r7000 had a modem built in so I was setting it up alone from the phone line. How silly of me. I thought it had a modem built since since there is a port at the back marked Internet which i assumed will take the RJ11 cable from phone socket

The D7000 has a built in modem, unfortunately the R7000 doesn't.

Been on Openreach fibre broadband for years and its painful uses normal ADSL at girlfriend's on the weekend, depending on your usage I would upgrade IMHO ;)

Not on Virgin so can't comment (will be signing up when I move in to my new house though :) ). Currently on Plusnet 76Mbps down 20Mbps up and it's great, no issues just works.
