Hi Guys.

My Netgear DGN3500 has just dies outside of warranty and am looking for a good replacement...

Needs to have gigbit ports on.. the chipset in the 3500 seemed to give me the best line sync of all that i tried at the time.

These are the only two I'd consider..

Billion 7800N
Asus DSL-N55U (now that they've released a fully featured firmware for it)

I have the 7800N, rock solid and lots of features, i have been through a lot of routers due to distance from exchange to try and get best connection and this is the most reliable ive come across for me

Yes it will do fibre also with the WAN port for the modem

Perfect thanks guys... I'm sold on the Billion.

The 7800N has a DSL modem port and a WAN port.

The Asus is about to get a new firmware that lets you specific one of the LAN ports as the WAN
