I have a DG834 V1 router and seem to be having trouble with it. its seems ok for a number of days then just goes totally carp usually solved by a restart. I have complained endlessly to my isp about the line when in reality i think it may be a router problem. My isp claim there is nothing wrong thier end and no faults on the line. This seems to fit with my router stats which although i am reluctant to trust reports my line as being relatively quiet and sound. Has anyone any experience with this sort of behaviour from either adslmax or a similar router?

I have the same router, can i ask what version of the firmware you are using, i know that i did have problems with an earlier version of firmware.

I'm using the latest firmware V3.01.25 and adsl firmware version 4.01.02.00, when the modem/line/connection behaves trace routes confirm the ping to be 20 -30 ms, however when its in need of a reboot anything from 200 - 450ms

Hrrmm, thats the same firmware im using and i don't ever seem to have any problems with mine (i have 11 computers on using this router). You don't use torrents a lot do you? I have found that if i have many connections open when downloading, it causes the router to pretty much die and need a reboot. When this happens even the routers browsers pages are slow as anything. Sorry i couldn't help any more than that.
