Netgear WG311 wireless card - half height

I own one of these cards and have purchased a few for friends too. Now I swear I have seen a half height backing plate included in the box. Has anybody else had these included?

Netgear say they don't do them and tell me to buy another card - they can sod off.

So the question is as anyone else had a half heigh backing plate included? Does anyone have one spare?

I've seem them before, not sure i have any spare. have you checked auction sites?

I certainly didn't recieve one in the box when I purchased my WG311 card. Shame really, I think they are missing a trick there.

I've had a look at the auction sites, but I'm not buying a new WG311 card when I have one that works fine.

I'll see if I can refine my search and go from there.

Does anyone know whether the Linksys cards come with them? How do I find out which cards have the half height PCI bracket?
