I have the netgear DG834G v2 Router however i have a computer downstairs and it does not get constant signal. What can i buy in order to boost the signal to get constant wireless?

Try removing any encryption to see if the connection improves.
Move the router and the PC closer together.
Place the router in an elevated position. If possible away from monitors, PCs and large metal objects.
Try to get as clear line of sight between the router and the PC as possible.
Make sure both the router and PC antennas are pointing straight up.
Increase the power output of the antenna (via the Admin logon, if possible).
Try the latest firmware - http://kbserver.netgear.com/release_notes/D102765.asp
Get a better antenna for the router and/or the PC.
