Ok Got my new WNDR3700 delivered today from OCUK.

Its replacing an old Netgear router so i have took the old one out and put the new one in its place but im getting nothing other than a flashing green power light.

Now from what i have read your supposed to leave it for 2 mins to boot up but i have left it way longer than 2 mins but still only getting a flashing green light.

Also tried reseting it but still no joy so anyone else have any ideas?

Thanks

Well your need to log in to the router via an ethernet cable and check it settings...usually it will auto detect your connection - but I never rely on this.

You should write down or print out your internet settings from your old Netgear router (e.g. connection type, username & password)...can you log in to it via web browser?

A flashing power light is a mystery...perhaps its faulty?

EDIT - Actually the manual states that a blinking green power light suggests a corrupted firmware - use the Netgear Firmware Recovery Utility

Hi, Yes all connected via cables but no reply when using the cd or www.routerlogin.net

Cant write anything down as i cant access the router through any of my computers, but can access my old netgear router if i swap them around, and re-boot everything.

Just about to ask on the netgear forums now they have eventually sent me an email

A bit of a resurection post but does this router also have a built in modem to be used with ADSL2 or is it only cable? the OCUK page is confusing when figuring out what is a router for ADSL or cable and if they come with built in modem or not

It doesn't have an ADSL2 modem built in no. So if you're looking for a combined modem/router to use with ADSL this isn't it, you'd need a separate modem.
