Hi,
A friend bought a used/refusbished Netgear WPN824 router which he thinks is not working. I plugged it into my network and tried the default IP as on the bottom of the router 192.168.1.1 but I cannot access it from the network. I have the DGN824 router which works fine on its default ip 192.168.0.1.

Is there anything I can do to find the IP of the router?

can you place pc on dhcp

try to establish a connection with router then go into command prompt and type "arp -a"
without quotes? err that may get it

I don't know how to place on DHCP sorry.

I tried ipconfig /all but its showing my router default details for my router not this one 192.168.0.2.

Yes ipconfig would be the easier method :) (im not all there today)

can do plug in the new router and try ipconfig /release
once the ip is released type in ipconfig /renew

does the information change then? or if you plug in the new router and restart the machine

i would imagine the pc is already on dhcp but if you go into control panel, network connections, right click mouse on local area connections and click properties then highlight "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)" and click properties on that. For dhcp it should be set to obtain information automatically :)
