Netkar Pro, whos getting it?

Looks promising but i have loads of racers with loads of mods and loads of tracks.
Some team members will get it and i will wait on there verdict before i make my mind up.
One thing the race sim community needs is a game good enouth to pull us all together. I really hope this is it.

at the moment, its a firm no, had a go of the demo, i got it running fine, looks good and i love the interactive cockpit, really like the physics, as has been moaned about constantly the GUI isnt the best but its not unuable, but damn the sounds are horrific.
when there is more content available preferably in the form of tintops(not big on OW sim racing) and the sounds are sorted out, then maybe i'll consider buying it.
but yeah its not nearly as bad as some people are making it out to be, just needs some work, but at the moment there is no real reason for me to spend money on this when rfactor has more to offer me at least for the moment anyway.
i can see me buying GTR2 before i get NKp, mainly because the cars appeal to me more, but we'll just have to wait and see.

I bought the pre-order and have been playing it since it release on monday night. The 1st impressions were poor, but with little documentation etc on release there were a few "features" like tyres being retained between game restarts which detracted a little after I managed to flat spot my tyres in the 1st session and then almost get chucked off my seat by the FFB.

Once I'd got over those problems and the GUI I started to drive the thing. I've been playing rFactor for the last month or so and have really gotten into it and the various mods, but this is something totally different. The graphics engine is very very good not being an all shiny type approach, the physics and the damange model work perfectly together along with the FFB through my DFP wheel.

I think, given time and Stefanos total dedication and support of this game its going to be something very special. I'm sticking with it...

I downloaded the demo and after an hour trying to get my DFP to configure I finally managed to get it sorted after reading and posting on the racesimcentral forums.

This seems like an extremelly hardcore sim, infact I couldn't even get the engine to start at first (top tip being to click and HOLD on the ignition till it starts and not just single click like I was).

Been playing for a few hours now and I have gone from thinking it was terrible to actually really enjoying the driving experience now. Sure the documentation is woeful and the frontend is as friendly as a cornered rat, but once you get past that I think this is a sim with lots of potential. A definite diamond in the rough for me, and certainly one of thise driving sims where the more time you invest the better you get.

I liked it enough to fork out the 36 euros :)
